Aquael Pat Mini Internal Fish Tank Filter - Quiet Sponge Filter System for Small Aquariums 2-31 Gallons - Perfect for Betta Tanks, Shrimp Habitats & Nano Aquariums

This is a compact, small sponge filer ideal for shrimp where water current from traditonal filters create to much under current for baby shrimp. This is a really good design for a small tank with shrimp. It has a hang on top plastic hanger with a slide-on gate to the back of the filter. That gate was really awkward to slide in as the instructions were of no help and the slide gate had no 'up' marking and it can only go on one way. Took me several tries before I got it to slide on. Once on the flat tank hanger then slides between the gate and filter's back.I also got the upgrade tube side unit that disperse water along everal inches of tube sections with outlet spouts making the water current very low and dispersed. Has a standard sponge filter and there was also a CarboMax filter separate option which I also got.The only downside seems to be availability. Seems Aquael isn't offering it on their Amazon website even though there's a photo of it there. PetSmart only had 1 left in each of 2 stores - both of which I bought up along with the last of their media boxes.Why Aquael isn't offering them now I don't know. I think this is an amazingly good mini filter that protects small fry and baby shrimp better than any other filter and its designed for small tanks.Aquael: hope you read this glowing review of your amzing PAT filter and bring this great filter back on line!
